About Art Hoestory

Art Hoestory is a blog dedicated to discussing the portrayal of mistresses, courtesans, and prostitutes in the artwork of Europe during the 17th and 18th centuries. 

I have both a BA and MA in art history and I am using this blog to continue my research on this topic and to share with those who are also interested in learning more about these women and giving them the respect they deserve
